If you grew up with emotionally unavailable, unpredictable, critical, or self-involved caregivers, you may now struggle with self-trust, identity, boundaries, relationships, or a persistent sense of shame.

These patterns are not character flaws. You may have lived your formative years always waiting for the other shoe to drop or maybe you did your best to prevent an adult in your life from blowing up. Perhaps you learned how to stay small to stay safe. You adapted the best way you could while living in a situation that did not foster self-confidence or allow you connect with feelings of safety and peace.

Trauma therapy for adults

shaped by difficult early relationships.

Sensitive stories

require a human approach.

You may feel ready to untangle painful parts of your past, while also being aware that the wrong approach might cause you to shut down or break down. In your work with me, you will experience therapy moving at a pace that allows you to build confidence in your ability to face painful memories without overwhelm. Therapy with me is an experience of sharing human-to-human; therapy with me is sharing your story in a space with warmth and without judgment. I can sit with your tears or laugh at your jokes - sometimes in the same session. There is always room for both joy and pain; seriousness and dark humor. Inclusion is important to me. Diversity is welcome. Come as you are. I am there for whoever that might be. Book a free consultation today!

Taking trauma therapy beyond talk.

At Keystone Mental Health, my approach goes far beyond talk therapy. In my nearly two decades as a therapist, I have continuously challenged myself to discover and specialize in the techniques showing the most promise for treating trauma. Your time, money, and capacity are important. I am invested in offering the skills, knowledge, and personal connection that encourage your brain to do what it’s made to do - heal. I focus on helping adults heal from the lasting impact of emotionally immature family dynamics using transformative and healing methods that go beyond talk therapy; methods such as EMDR and ART help clients process deeply rooted memories and create lasting change.

A home office with a wooden desk featuring a closed white Lenovo Legion laptop, a black mouse, and a stack of books. There are potted plants on either side of a dark gray dresser, above which a large abstract painting hangs. To the right, white wall-mounted shelves hold decorative items, and a black office chair sits in front of the desk. A window with white blinds and cream curtains lets in natural light, and a glowing orange Himalayan salt lamp is on the desk.

You are allowed to experience healing.

You’ve already been carrying so much on your own. Therapy can be a space where you finally exhale, feel understood, and begin to experience real change. If you’re curious about working together, I invite you to reach out using the form below or use my booking link above to book a free consultation now. I would love talk with you and explore what support could look like for you.
